At Changetree, our practice is rooted in systemic thinking. This approach focuses on relationships and interactions to better understand the patterns that can shape mental health, helping to find solutions and improve wellbeing. We can offer family and systemic psychotherapy, couple therapy, dramatherapy and psychodrama group therapy.
We support individuals, couples and families with a wide range of challenges, including communication difficulties, anxiety, child and adolescent mental health, relationship issues, loss, emotional conflict and the impact of separation or divorce.
Our work is grounded in evidence-informed practice, ethical care and a belief in the power of engagement, sharing and connection.
We provide face-to-face, online and telephone sessions.
Changetree was established to offer clients access to high-quality, systemically informed psychotherapy rooted in decades of clinical and academic experience.
Changetree offers Family and Systemic Psychotherapy – often called Family Therapy – which helps people in close relationships to support one another. This approach enables families to explore difficult thoughts and feelings in a safe, confidential space. The process will help them to understand each other’s experiences, recognise strengths and make meaningful changes in how they relate.
Family Therapy can be helpful for children, young people and adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties and circumstances.
For couples, we offer therapy based on the Exeter Model, developed by Professor Hannah Sherbersky and Professor Janet Reibstein at the University of Exeter.
This evidence-informed approach is recognised for effectively supporting couples facing communication issues and behavioural difficulties in their relationship. Sessions are highly confidential and tailored to individual needs.
Changetree also offers Dramatherapy and Psychodrama, which have long been part of NHS mental health services. These gentle, creative approaches offer alternative ways to express emotions, process experiences and find new perspectives.
Changetree also delivers bespoke training for professionals working in health, education and social care.
At the heart of our work is a belief in the transformative power of connection, curiosity and care.
I co-founded Changetree with my husband, Martin, to create a space where systemic practice could be applied in a flexible, creative and personal way.
At Changetree, I work directly with clients and teams, offering psychotherapy, supervision and consultation, informed by over 30 years of experience in the mental health sphere.
I bring my academic, clinical and leadership expertise to the practice, supporting people and organisations to explore meaningful, lasting change. My approach combines warmth, curiosity and insight, helping clients navigate complex emotional landscapes with care and confidence.
